After having had the pleasure of trying out the kit’s larger relative, the XROS 3, I was curious to see how this smaller version would fare – Vaporesso XROS 3 MINI.

XROS 3 MINI compared to XROS 3
I’d say the biggest difference is the way this kit is presented; it’s significantly smaller and therefore more portable than the XROS 3.
Naturally, the MINI is lighter and more portable…although it should be noted that it still feels solid and durable. Mirroring the larger version’s rectangular shape and softly curved edges, the kit is a more basic iteration of the Vaporesso XROS 3.
I really like the simplicity of it, with just one USB-C charging port on the outside. Due to the lack of an ignition button, the MINI has an auto-puff function, meaning I only need to inhale to activate the unit.
Both XROS 3 and XROS 3 MINI have a battery capacity of 1000mAh, and both support USB-C fast charging. When I tested it, the MINI lasted a day of regular vaping with a quick charge.

Like the XROS 3, the battery level is indicated by different colored LED lights on the base of the device. The TPD-compliant 2ml pods are interchangeable between the XROS 3 and XROS 3 MINI and are filled via a small one-way valve just below the mouthpiece.
This helps prevent leaks and overfilling and reduces condensation levels. It works best with thin e-juices that are around 50% VG; I used 20mg of nicotine salts and I have to say the taste is fantastic.
The vape coils are pre-built into each pod, so once they start to burn out – usually within a week or so, depending on several factors – it’s time to throw the entire pod out.
